Join Our Team as a Principle Engineer: Software – Lead Innovation in Software Development Test & Evaluation! Are you a seasoned software engineering professional with a passion for driving excellence in Development Test & Evaluation (DT&E)? Responsibilities • Manage and execute software DT&E activities for both PC-based and embedded software systems. • Oversee software requirements management, test procedure development, and result reporting while leading a talented team of engineers through the rigorous testing lifecycle. • Utilize cutting-edge traceability tools like Halcon to capture and manage product variant requirements, test procedures, and results. • Develop templates and Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs), present test status updates to stakeholders, and steer the resolution of any software test shortcomings through structured deviation/concession processes. • Mentor and lead teams to share your expertise, guide best practices, and elevate the team’s capabilities through leadership and upskilling initiatives. • Craft and publish Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and embed sound software system engineering principles into all DT&E processes. Requirements • A self-motivated leader with 10+ years in software engineering (preferably 12+), including 3+ years in software DT&E. • An expert in managing complex software development, test procedures, and evaluation reports, with advanced knowledge of DT&E processes. • Experienced in the military or aviation sectors, holding at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering (Honors or Masters preferred). • Skilled communicator and mentor, capable of motivating and directing test teams with clarity and confidence. • Adept at resolving roadblocks and driving projects to successful completion.
