Role Summary We're seeking an experienced software engineer with a strong background in building and operating applications in data-driven environments. The role involves crafting, implementing, integrating, and maintaining scalable applications for business processes, big data, and data science initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain software solutions using Python (version 3). • Design and build cloud-native applications using AWS, with a focus on managed offerings such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, Aurora, S3, and API Gateway. • Apply infrastructure-as-code principles using AWS-native tooling like AWS CDK or CloudFormation. • Support application deployment through CI/CD practices using tools like Git, GitLab, and Jenkins. Preferred Qualifications • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline. • A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in Python software development. • Proven expertise in designing and deploying solutions on AWS using serverless and managed services. • Proficiency with infrastructure automation using AWS provisioning tools (CDK or CloudFormation). • Experience in integrating applications related to data science or handling large-scale data. • Solid understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines and related tooling. • Familiarity with event-driven and serverless application architecture. • Understanding of best practices in RESTful API design and development. • Comfortable operating independently in Agile and DevOps-style team environments.
