Position type: Exempt Job Overview The IE supports manufacturing across the plant with improvement projects that drive new capabilities, higher capacity, faster throughput, less queue time, and lower costs. These projects will utilize strong communication, technical, and project management skills. Responsibilities • Optimize manufacturing space by reviewing product flow and plant layouts. • Develop and implement process improvements to make most efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials. • Lead Capex projects for improvements to manufacturing capabilities and processes. • Support and lead projects through the entire life cycle from design and prototype through production. • Design control systems to minimize costs and prevent production issues. • Establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for production problems and develop re-work instructions as needed. • Participate in and/or lead process improvement teams and other small project technical teams. • Manage process documentation.
