Your impact Role Summary As a Software Developer – Design Automation, you will play a pivotal role in Jacobs’ Digital Transformation journey by designing and developing innovative software solutions that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver smarter outcomes for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to build solutions from the ground up, leveraging modern technologies to support global engineering teams and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Technical Delivery • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications using .NET (C#) and Azure PaaS services. • Build and integrate microservices and REST APIs to support business logic and reporting requirements. • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated deployments and testing. • Write unit and integration tests using modern frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability. • Apply clean coding principles, design patterns, and Clean Architecture for maintainable and modular solutions. Collaboration & Governance • Work closely with stakeholders to define User Stories and translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for software development and documentation. Innovation & Insights • Explore emerging technologies such as Blazor, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React) to enhance user experience. • Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous improvement of development workflows. • Support Jacobs’ vision for Digital innovation by aligning solutions with organizational goals and global standards. Here's what you'll need Skills & Tools Must Have • Proven experience with .NET/C# development, ideally in modern stack projects • Proven experience with Node.js, Blazor • Hands-on experience with ASP .NET MVC and Razor • Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend service integration • Familiarity with Clean Architecture principles and separation of domain, infrastructure, business logic, and presentation layers • Practical knowledge of design patterns (Repository, CQRS, Mediator) • Experience working in Agile teams with collaborative practices • Good communication skills, able to explain technical topics in simple terms Good to Have • Front-end web development skills • JavaScript and/or TypeScript • Angular and/or React Qualifications • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 6–12 years of experience in software development with modern technology stacks. • Proven track record of delivering secure, scalable, and cloud-based applications. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in global, multidisciplinary teams.
