Position: Software Engineer, Senior / Fayetteville, NC with Security Clearance Job Number 717866 Description: Lockheed Martin's SOF GLSS Team, the leading provider of a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance and sustainment services is seeking a Software Engineer to join the SOF GLSS team in Fayetteville, NC. The candidate will perform classified duties supporting multiple Special Operations groups. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Plans, conducts, and coordinates MS SQL development activities. This position supports our Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services contract, which is the U.S. Special Operations Command's (USSOCOM) largest service contract vehicle providing a wide range of tailored logistics, maintenance, and sustainment services. This position is located in Fayetteville, NC Discover Fayetteville MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start. Basic Qualifications: Expertise in at least one major language: Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/Type Script, Go, C++, Ruby Clean code practices (SOLID, DRY, KISS) Data structures & algorithms (arrays, linked lists, trees, graphs, hashing, sorting, dynamic programming) B. System Design & Architecture Designing scalable, distributed systems Understanding of load balancing, caching, queues Designing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL Microservices architecture C. Databases SQL databases (Postgre SQL, MySQL, SQL Server) No SQL (Mongo DB, Dynamo DB, Redis) Query optimization & schema design D. Cloud & Dev Ops Fundamentals Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Git Lab CI) Containerization and orchestration: Desired Skills: A. Advanced System Design Event-driven architectures Distributed computing principles (consistency, partitioning, fault tolerance) Experience with high-scale systems (millions of users) B. Dev Ops & Infrastructure Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Cloud Formation) Logging, monitoring, observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) C.
