Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program. This position will be located at our Morrisville, North Carolina site. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3 (Principal), depending on the candidate’s experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment. Basic Qualifications • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance and SCI access.No clearance required to start [US Citizenship required] • Minimum years of experience needed to be considered: • Level 2 • 2 Years of relevant experience with a completed bachelor’s degree • 0 Years of relevant experience with a completed master's degree • 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed associate’s degree • 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required) • Level 3 (Principal) • 5 Years of relevant experience with a completed bachelor’s degree • 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed master's degree • 1 Year of relevant experience with a completed PhD • 7 Years of relevant experience with a completed associate’s degree • 9 Years of relevant work experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required) • Must have above minimum experience on the below: • Experience with Git • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications • STEM degree • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance • Experience with Python, C, C++ and/or Go • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm • Familiar working with Docker and Podman • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite To better support our employee’s work/life balance, most NG worksites support a 9/80 work schedule. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
