About Job

POSITION: Software Engineer (In Office Position) LOCATION: South Jordan, Logan or Tremonton, Utah COMPENSATION: Grade 12-13 (base salary $75,000 - $100,000) Depending on education and experience. Comprehensive benefit package and short-term incentive program are also provided. RESPONSIBILITY: Developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that improve user experience, system performance, and reliability. This role requires a strong foundation in software development principles, problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. Responsibilities also include: • Move existing processes from MS Access/SQL into an internal web-based environment. • Obtain and maintain an understanding of current processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reliability. • Perform code base maintenance such as documentation, refactoring, and framework version updates. • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain existing processes to ensure strong optimization and functionality. • Assist with planning, design, and implementation of our database modernization and cloud migration initiatives. • Contribute in all phases of the software development lifecycle. • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. • Assist with production documentation. • Diagnose and trouble shoot errors and functionality issues. • Follow policy, standards, and regulatory requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 3 years professional experience preferred. • Proven experience in software development with a strong command of C# and JavaScript. • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. • Interact effectively with management and employees. • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills along with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to lift 40 pounds or more. Preferred: • Industry experience in Finance, Accounting, or Agriculture. • At least one year of experience implementing solutions in .net. • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
