Join us as a Software Engineer This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a Software EngineerYou’ll be designing, producing, testing and implementing working software, working across the lifecycle of the systemHone your existing software engineering skills and advance your career in this critical roleWe're offering this role at vice president level What you'll do Working in a permanent feature team, you’ll be building user-facing features using React 18 and TypeScript 5, developing and integrating APIs using Python/FastAPI or similar backend technologies. You’ll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives. You’ll also be: Working with Snowflake and analytical data services to support mortgage pricing and profitability modellingDesigning complex data grids, calculations, forms and modelling workflows using Material UI, TanStack Table and React Hook FormManaging application state using Redux Toolkit, RTK Query and injected storesDeveloping within a microfrontend architecture using Module FederationWriting automated tests using Playwright, Jest and React Testing LibrarySupporting CI/CD, production deployments and ongoing application supportCollaborating with Pricing Managers, analysts and engineers to deliver modelling and forecasting capabilities The skills you'll need We’re looking for someone with strong full-stack engineering experience along with deep frontend expertise and the ability to build secure, reliable and maintainable applications. You’ll also need proficiency in React 18, TypeScript 5 and modern frontend engineering practices. Experience working with Snowflake, SQL, REST APIs and data integration patterns is mandatory. You'll be expected to have strong debugging and problem-solving skills across frontend, API and data layers. Additionally, you’ll demonstrate: Strong experience with Redux Toolkit, including dynamic reducer injection, RTK Query, useSelector and useDispatchExperience with Material UI v6, DataGrid, Date Pickers, Emotion, TanStack Table, React Hook Form and complex business workflowsExperience with Webpack 5, Babel and Module Federation architecturesExperience with Playwright, Jest, React Testing Library and MSWExperience with Git, GitLab CI/CD and Linux/WSL development environmentsGood communication and stakeholder management skills
