Your Role We are seeking a mid-level engineer to join our team, responsible for building reliable, high-performing, and resource-efficient public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise platform infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring that our customers have access to highly available and performant systems for demanding Teradata analytics and AI workloads. Key Responsibilities Deploy and configure Teradata systems across leading public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Analyze and optimize system performance across critical layers including CPU, storage, I/O, and network. Conduct thorough stress testing and validation of infrastructure beyond manufacturer limits to guarantee resilience under intense analytic and AI workloads. Develop automation tools aimed at monitoring and analyzing infrastructure behavior effectively. Collaborate with cloud providers and internal engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively. Support customer-facing teams with expertise related to platform performance, configuration, and availability. Collaboration and Teamwork You will work alongside a dynamic engineering team, collaborating with: Teradata Advanced Development, Architects, and Product Management to align with system requirements and test new capabilities. Cloud infrastructure providers to influence roadmaps and resolve functional and performance-related challenges. Teradata Customer Support and Operations to address customer field issues efficiently. Essential Qualifications Experience with public cloud infrastructures, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Proficiency in Linux OS and command-line operations. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline, alongside relevant professional experience. Preferred Skills and Attributes Ability to script for creating and modifying test cases to tailor configurations and workloads. Familiarity with Teradata Cloud or on-premises solutions and deployment in cloud environments. Experience with performance tuning and resource characterization across CPU, storage, I/O, and network. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset to identify root causes and implement solutions effectively. A proactive and solution-focused approach, paired with a genuine enthusiasm for technology. Flexibility and creativity to adapt in a dynamic work environment. Compensation and Benefits The annual pay range for this position is $111,800 - $167,700, with starting compensation dependent on geographic location, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.
