Join Our Compassionate Team As a Data Engineer 2, you will play a vital role in developing advanced data processing architectures that convert both structured and unstructured data into actionable insights across our organization. Collaborating closely with the Lead Data Engineer, you will tackle a variety of projects that involve creative problem-solving and strategic decision-making. In this role, you will utilize cloud-native platforms to ingest data from various internal and external sources. By applying robust software development practices, you will harness artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data methodologies to transform data effectively. Your contributions will significantly enhance service delivery for our members, and you will have the opportunity to shape departmental strategies while setting technical goals. Make a Meaningful Impact with Your Expertise Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or engineering. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to assess complex data sets and conduct in-depth root cause analysis. Experience in leveraging data to drive improved outcomes and informed decisions. Willingness to work in the EST time zone. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Engineering. Experience with healthcare data, particularly from various EHRs, and understanding of Membership, Medicare Risk Adjustment, and quality metrics like HEDIS. Familiarity with Snowflake Cloud. Experience with the Azure ecosystem. Knowledge of the dbt framework. Travel: This position is primarily remote, though occasional travel to Humana's offices may be necessary for training and meetings. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The compensation range reflects an estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. The pay range may vary based on location and individual qualifications, with a range of $97,900 - $133,500 per year. Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
