Roles & Responsibilities • System Analysis and Strategy • Assess the performance of the electrical distribution infrastructure. • Design and implement a four-year maintenance and construction plan to optimize system operations. • Team Collaboration for Efficiency • Partner with the engineering team to analyze load flow, short circuit scenarios, and protective relaying schemes. • Oversee studies on voltage regulation, arc flash safety, and system coordination to enhance network performance. • Future Planning and Growth • Anticipate system demands and design strategies for infrastructure upgrades to support business expansion and increasing energy loads. Qualifications • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. • Proven experience in the electrical utility industry. • Strong expertise in advanced mathematics, including trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and analytic geometry. • Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories equipment or similar systems (preferred). • Understanding of NERC and FERC regulations, with experience in SPP. • Outstanding problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. • A valid New Mexico driver's license and compliance with drug testing policies.
