As a Senior Data Scientist, you will solve the hardest business problems with our clients in multiple industries worldwide while leading research and development of state-of-the-art Machine Learning and statistical methods. You will play a leading role in bringing the latest advances in AI and deep learning to our clients, collaborating with industry executives and QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey experts to find and execute opportunities to improve business performance using data and advanced machine learning models. You will identify machine learning R&D initiatives that have high potential of applicability in industry. You will work with QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey leadership and client executives to understand business problems and map them to state-of-the-art analytics and AI solutions. You will work closely with other data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers and designers to build end-to-end analytics solutions for our clients that drive real impact in the real world. You will work in one of the most talented and diverse data science teams in the world. Your qualifications and skills • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics, engineering, or artificial intelligence • 4+ years of deep technical experience in Python, machine learning, and statistical methods • Proven experience applying advanced analytical, data science, and statistical methods in real-world engagements • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, QA/Risk Management, CI/CD, and MLOps, with expertise in libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow • Hands-on experience deploying and scaling real-time ML applications • A collaborative mindset, humility, and a strong desire to help your team succeed • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally • Experience in GenAI application development (e.g., Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agentic flows) using API integration and orchestration tools such as LangChain, Crew.AI, or AutoGen (preferred, not required) • Deep learning expertise with libraries like PySpark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn (preferred, not required) • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences job perk: Schedule Type: Full-time
