Global Banking and Markets, Client Analytics Engineering, Software Engineer, Analyst, SLC Job Description Job Description: The Client Analytics team is a front-office, business facing team responsible for the development of analytical metrics, applications, and insights for the Equities and FICC divisions. We work closely with sales, trading, senior leadership, quants, and other engineering teams to understand our global client base and provide insights such as revenue tracking, market share analysis, wallet opportunity discovery, consumption profiles and market color. Our team combines business analytics with a scalable, modern engineering stack to deliver our metrics across the whole division. As a team, we are involved in the full project lifecycle and are responsible for both the metrics we deliver and the platforms we deliver them with. We are an entrepreneurial team, constantly seeking innovative analytical solutions to evolving business priorities while adopting modern technologies. A successful candidate will need to: • Design and build scalable, high performing and responsive applications tailored to enhance data-driven decision making • Treat data as a first-class citizen by taking an interest in the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of our metrics • Collaborate with business stakeholders across the globe to understand analytical requirements, refine functionalities and address evolving business needs • Create well-designed and tested code using best practices, uplift existing applications using industry standards, and bring innovative technologies into the team • Take responsibility for prompt resolution of queries from management and users and take ownership in the commercial delivery of projects Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience of programming in Python or equivalent language • Experience and understanding of data storage (databases, SQL, Mongo) • Ability to work on multiple tasks (requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation) while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail • Well versed with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) and familiarity of associated tools for version control, build, deployment, testing and controls • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in a business-facing/front office engineering role • Experience in Angular framework and proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS • Experience with scripting languages used in a large production environment (Python / TypeScript) • Experience in performance tuning applications, data modelling and design • Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD • Knowledge of capital markets, asset classes and financial services is a plus job perk: Posted At: 16 hours ago, job perk: Schedule Type: Full-time
